Can I Travel Late in Pregnancy?

Question:I'm 33 weeks pregnant and about 2 cm dilated. Is it okay to travel?

Answer: I can't offer you medical advice, but if it were me, I would probably be fine with traveling. You may want to check with your doctor just to be sure.

It isn't uncommon at all to be a couple centimeters dilated for several weeks before labor starts. As long as you aren't having any signs of preterm labor, there's most likely no reason to be concerned about going into labor very soon.

The general guideline for traveling is not to travel after about 37 weeks or so.

Good luck and safe travels!
